What are the differences between a frameless, semi-frameless and framed shower door or enclosure?

Right now my shower is framed. Can it be converted to a frameless shower?
If you are not sure if your bathroom can support a frameless shower, CONTACT US we will determine if structural changes would be required.
What type of guarantee or warranty does byRoman offer?
byRoman has a 1 year warranty (that begins on date of installation) that covers: installation workmanship, leaks and sweeps and a 3 year warranty on hinges.
Do you use “U” channels?
byRoman does not use U channels in our frameless shower installations unless the configuration of the shower absolutely requires it.
How long after my shower is installed do I have to wait to use it?
Good question! We recommend keeping the shower dry for 24 hours.
Are there different styles of shower glass?
Yes. Shower glass comes in different styles as well as thicknesses. See popular glass styles.
What shower glass is the most popular?
Clear glass is a very popular choice, especially in baths with tile work. Classic and timeless, clear glass allows more light, makes the bathroom space appear larger and shows-off teh shower’s tilework. See popular glass styles.
How thick is your shower glass?
We install various thicknesses of glass. The size of the glass needed, the configuration (frameless, framed, semi-frameless) and other factors dictate the glass thickness to use. Generally, our framed shower doors are 1/4″ or 3/8″ thick, semi-frameless are 1/4″ and frameless are 3/8″ or 1/2″.
How many hardware finishes can I choose from?
There are over a dozen hardware finishes to choose from and we can custom create finishes to match virtually any finish you are looking for. See shower hardware finishes.
What hardware finishes are chosen the most?
Oil-rubbed bronze and brushed nickel are popular shower hardware finishes. Chrome is also a very popular and classic choice. See shower hardware finishes.
I am beginning to see “euroslide showers”? What is a euroslide?
Euroslide shower doors are the newest mounting method being installed today. A euroslide is a frameless sliding door that is suspended from the top of the glass on a bar, and slide via rollers.
What if I measure my shower door incorrectly?
I already bought my shower door. Can byRoman install it?
No. We cannot install or guarantee the reliability or accuracy of another company’s measurements or fabrication. At byRoman, we measure, fabricate and install every shower door and enclosure and we warranty our work. Find out more about shower door fabrication and installation.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. byRoman accepts all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Other methods of acceptable payment are cash, check and debit card.
What are your payment terms?
Upon placement of an order, we receive a 50% deposit (of the accepted and signed project estimate), with the remaining balance due upon installation.
What counties do you install and service in PA?
byRoman services a geographic region that loosely mimics the Tri-State, Delaware Valley area, including the Southeastern Pennsylvania counties of: Berks, Bucks, Delaware, Chester, Lehigh, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia.
What counties do you install and service in NJ? And do you install down the Jersey shore?
Yes and yes! We have helped many homeowners and builders complete their shore home baths in Atlantic, Cape May, Ocean and Monmouth counties. byRoman also serves other South Jersey counties including: Burlington, Camden and Gloucester. We also cover all of Central Jersey including Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Somerset counties, and heading “up” into North Jersey we install in Union, Warren and parts of Morris county.
What counties do you install and service in DE?
In Delaware we service the Northern county of New Castle and some portions of Kent County.
